Gateway to track foreign suppliers

Last March, the General Administration of Taxes launched a portal for foreign suppliers and an electronic tax application, Etax-Mobile. Through this portal, foreign companies can also learn about e-commerce tax laws and policies, said Cao Anh Tuan, head of the General Administration of Taxation.

Finance Minister Ho Duc Phuc said the portal and app were launched following the strong development of e-commerce in Vietnam. He said the state bank should ask commercial banks to coordinate with the tax sector quickly to implement services.

Currently, BIDV, Vietcombank, Vietinbank, Agribank and MBBank have already provided Etax-Mobile electronic payment services. According to the Ministry of Finance, tax payments made by foreign suppliers between 2018 and 2021 amounted to more than VND 4.4 trillion.
