ViaVercors is the first easy route in the mountains that offers an expedition route for tourism and recreation over 55 km.
Located in the Vercors Regional Natural Park, this trail connects the plateau villages to form a link between the municipalities in the service of ecological mobility.
Between mountainous landscapes, waterways, and wonderful flora and fauna, these routes, which are mostly safe and off-limits to motorized vehicles, will allow you to spend interesting and fun moments discovering the landscape and heritage as well as local farmers and craftsmen.
Whether you’re with family or friends, an athlete or more of a meditator, you can enjoy an open atmosphere, with educational stops, play breaks for the kids or relaxing moments with the family.
ViaVercors is accessible year-round, at all levels of practice depending on the departments, and is part of the sustainable development approach, which advocates the use of soft transportation for ethical and environmental walking.

No less than 6 divisions make up ViaVercors. Connecting the villages together, each section will immerse you in the surrounding nature of the territory and the possibility to discover the local knowledge that permeates the path.
Between the Engins and Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte, the forest will accompany visitors, providing luxurious landscapes at the peaks. (section: 6.5 km)
Between Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte and Lans-en-Vercors, you will have the privilege of controlling valleys that offer 360-degree panoramic images. (section: 8.9 km)
The route between Lans-en-Vercors and Villard-de-Lans promises to dive into the agricultural world of the region, finding out how to spot it with the productive farmers. This section is for people with reduced mobility. (section: 7.3 km)
The section between Villard-de-Lans and Corrençon-en-Vercors will be a paradise for lovers of pristine nature: a pass through mountain pastures, bushes … You will also pass near the ancient toboggan run at the 1968 Olympics. (Section: 8.7 km)
The section between Villard-de-Lans and Méaudre is distinguished by the presence of water. The trail begins in the woods, but then crosses the wetlands and the “Le Méaudret” river thanks to the wooden footbridges. (section: 10 km)
Between Méaudre and Autrans, visitors can discover valleys, caves, and other temporal works on the limestone. A wonderful world, an integral part of the historical heritage of Vercors. (section: 5.8 km)

From each village, orange information panels indicate the paths, all you have to do is follow them!
In the meantime, the green panels provide information on local knowledge to discover.
ViaVercors’ roads were made from recycled materials from various construction sites and follow the old roads that connected small villages.
Artists and craftsmen near ViaVercors open their workshops to share their interests and creations: wood toy making, leatherwork, artistic ironwork, wood turning, pottery… So many techniques and exotic, contemporary, useful or decorative objects worth visiting. Don’t wait any longer and push their doors, they will be happy to welcome you.
